The Casper Police Department will be offering an active shooter and critical incident training for places of worship on Monday, May 14, 2018. The two-hour training is organized for those who work or volunteer in worship centers. The goal is to help places of worship enact security plans designed to minimize harm done in the event of an active shooter. Lieutenant Dabney has taught numerous active shooter training courses to Casper area businesses. The Casper Police Department wants to ensure church personnel and its members are prepared for a critical incident and how to react during a worship service.
Topics discussed in the training materials include:
— Conducting a Security Risk Assessment
— Suspicious Persons
— Actions during a Critical Incident
— What to do immediately after the Critical Incident
The training will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, located at 624 S. Center on the corner of Center Street and 7th Street, on Monday May 14, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Please pass the information on.
