Community Service

The Casper Police Department Community Service Program serves as a single-point-of entry for individuals performing community service in Casper / Natrona County. Referrals to the program are received from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Youth Diversion Program, Casper Municipal Court (including the Alcohol Court program), Natrona County Circuit Court, and the Wyoming Dept. of Corrections, Probation and Parole. All individuals must meet with the Community Service Program coordinator and complete the intake process. Intake includes a basic background screening, completion of a Community Service Agreement, the creation of a community service ‘plan’ that best meets the needs of the individual and the community, and other important information for the successful completion of the individual’s community service. In addition to the intake process, the program is responsible for the verification of community service hours and submitting reports to the courts and/or supervising probation officer.

The Casper Police Department Community Service program partners with numerous nonprofits and strives to make community service a win-win situation for everyone involved. The program coordinator is also able to accept ‘special requests’ from local nonprofits when extra volunteers are needed for a particular project.
