The Casper Police Department is inviting the public to attend a Community Engagement Town Hall to discuss the future of CPD and the need for a new police facility.
The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 30th, 2020 at The Lyric, located at 230 West Yellowstone Highway, in downtown Casper. Doors will open at 5:00pm. The presentation will begin at 5:30pm and is estimated to last an hour.
We’re excited to welcome Mr. James Estes, President of Police Facility Design Group. This industry-renowned architectural firm has spent over a year conducting third-party research on the Casper Police Department’s current facility and needs in accordance with national public safety standards. Mr. Estes will be presenting on his firm’s findings and recommendations.
Attendees will also hear from Casper City Manager Carter Napier along with CPD Chief Keith McPheeters.
All three presenters will be available to answer questions from attendees.
Any community member interested in the future of public safety in Casper is encouraged to attend. CPD highly values our community’s opinion and feedback. We look forward to the opportunity of collaborating together on this potential project.
“It has been at least sixty years since the Casper Police Department has operated together out of a city-owned building,” said CPD Public Information Officer Rebekah Ladd. “We outgrew our current facility years ago and our staff is struggling to operate efficiently and effectively. The expectation and demand for a highly transparent and professional police department is the new national standard – we want to rise above that.”
The Casper Police Department is dedicated to the protection and safety of our community through the highest standards of professionalism in police services.
