Casper Police activated the Natrona County Special Response Team early Saturday morning, September 28th, 2019, in response to a domestic violence situation.
No life-threatening physical injuries were sustained as a result of this incident.
On September 27th, 2019 at 11:16 pm the Casper Police Department responded to the 900 Block of South Conwell Street in Casper for a report of a family fight.
Upon arrival to the scene, officers began investigating and speaking with persons involved. Officers spoke with the adult female victim who had been injured by the suspect, Conner Boyden.
The victim told officers she had been physically abused and threatened with a firearm by Boyden.
Officers were also provided evidence in which Boyden was threatening to shoot anybody, including law enforcement officers, that approached the residence of which he was barricading himself in.
With this information and the substantiated threat presented by Boyden, Casper Police activated the Natrona County Special Response Team (SRT). SRT spent hours talking to Boyden, asking him to exit the home. Upon repeated threats from Boyden and refusal to leave the residence, SRT utilized less-lethal tactics to get Boyden to peacefully exit the home, unharmed.
Connor Boyden, 24-year-old male of Casper, was arrested by the Casper Police Department on one felony count of aggravated assault, one felony count of felonious restraint and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery.
Casper Police received information that Boyden had contacted Brittney Kraft who agreed to hide firearms for Boyden after the incident on Saturday morning.
With this knowledge, Casper Police Officers retrieved these firearms. Officers then quickly located and arrested Brittney Kraft.
On Sunday, September 29th, 2019, 25-year-old female, Brittney Kraft of Casper, was also arrested in relation to this incident and charged with one felony count of felonious restraint, accessory after the fact, one felony count of aggravated assault, accessory after the fact, and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery, accessory after the fact.
This incident is still under investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
