Casper Police have arrested two individuals on multiple related felony charges.
On Thursday, August 29th at 2:57 pm the Casper Police Department in partnership with the Natrona County Special Response Team executed a search warrant and an arrest warrant at the 300 Block of North Colorado in Casper.
Tiedon Zufelt, 19, of Casper, was arrested on scene without incident. The second suspect, Isaac Dorman, 22, of Casper, was arrested a few hours earlier when officers encountered him in public.
At 11:56 pm on Wednesday, August 28th, Casper Police responded to the 800 Block of East First Street in Casper on a report of vehicle theft.
Minutes prior, officers were in the area responding to an unrelated call when they observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and heard multiple gunshots fired. Having observed both offenses and hearing the vehicle theft call on the radio, officers began pursuit. The stolen vehicle ultimately evaded the officer.
A short time later, officers located the stolen vehicle, with one occupant inside, outside of the 300 Block of North Colorado in Casper.
Officers gave commands to the suspect to exit the vehicle. Instead of complying, the suspect rammed his vehicle into the officer’s vehicle and fled the scene in the stolen car.
Later in the evening, officers located the vehicle again alongside another vehicle of interest that has been involved with multiple recent crimes in the area.
After hours of investigation, Casper Police had enough evidence to obtain a search warrant and an arrest warrant for the suspect involved in this vehicle theft.
Upon execution of the search warrant, multiple reported stolen firearms were located inside the residence.
The Special Response Team was activated due to the nature of the crimes involved and the suspects’ deliberate disregard for human life.
Both suspects have been arrested on local warrants. Multiple felony charges are pending. This case is under investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
