One day after a child abduction crime, Casper Police have arrested and charged the suspect involved.
The child involved in the abduction is safe.
There is no current threat or danger to the community.
The suspect was charged with one count of felony kidnapping and one count of felony second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.
The investigation is on-going. We would like to thank the community, as well as local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies for their assistance with this investigation.
All persons accused of crimes are considered to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Casper, Wyoming (July 4, 2019) – Less than twenty-four hours after a child abduction, Casper Police have located the suspect involved.
The child involved in the abduction is safe.
There is no current threat or danger to the community.
The suspect is currently being interviewed and the investigation is on-going.
Casper Police have worked tirelessly since the crime occurred to find the suspect. We would like to thank local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies along with the District Attorney’s Office for their diligent assistance with this investigation.
We are extremely grateful and proud of the excellent police work done by Casper Police Patrol Team Four, who, with the assistance of community members acting upon the information provided regarding the potential suspect’s vehicle, successfully found and identified the suspect.
Although the investigation remains ongoing, and much work remains to be done, we believe it is important to let our community know they can carry on with their Fourth of July celebrations without the extra worry of a potential unknown child abductor unaccounted for in our community.

Recap:
At 10:52 am on July 3rd, 2019, the Public Safety Communication Center received a 911 call of a reported child abduction near the intersection of Southwest Wyoming Boulevard and South Coffman Avenue in Casper.
Casper Police Officers immediately responded to the location. Once on scene, they discovered the child was safe and had returned to the area.
The investigation has revealed that at approximately 10:35 am the child was playing outside when an unknown male suspect abducted and left the area with the child.
The child was returned near the location of the abduction a short time later.
