Casper Police Request Community Assistance in Child Abduction Investigation
At 10:52 am on July 3rd, 2019, the Public Safety Communication Center received a 911 call of a reported child abduction near the intersection of Southwest Wyoming Boulevard and South Coffman Avenue in Casper.
Casper Police Officers immediately responded to the location. Once on scene, they discovered the child was safe and had returned to the area.
The investigation has revealed that at approximately 10:35 am the child was playing outside when an unknown male suspect abducted and left the area with the child.
The child was returned near the location of the abduction a short time later.
Through the investigation, a suspect vehicle has been identified as a possible dark colored 1999-2003, four-door, GMC, short bed truck with a toolbox and a trim piece down the side. The bed of the truck also appears to be filled with possible construction debris.
The Casper Police Department is seeking the community’s help in identifying the vehicle and its driver in connection to this crime.
The suspect is described to be a Caucasian male of a medium build. The suspect was wearing a black hat, black shirt, and black pants.
The Casper Police Department is asking that if you have a surveillance camera on your car, home, or business please look through your footage for this vehicle.
