This morning, we had the honor of being with Officer George Radden’s grandson Gerald, his wife Wilma, and great-grandson Scott. Together, we remembered the life of Officer Radden and the ultimate sacrifice he gave.
Officer Radden is the Casper Police Department’s only line-of-duty death.
On November 15th, 1925, Officer Radden was critically injured when his motorcycle sideswiped an automobile. At the time of the accident, Officer Radden was attempting to deliver a hose nozzle to firemen fighting a fire on East H Street. Officer Radden died on November 18, 1925, of injuries he received from this accident.
The Casper Police Department would like to thank the Radden family for their dedication to the Casper community. It was our honor to be with you today.
